Nutrition and Food

Eating healthily can help reduce the risk of a long list of health conditions, including heart disease, diabetes, stroke, and multiple types of cancer. Important steps to achieving a healthy diet include limiting the amount of sugar, saturated fat and salt you eat, and increasing the amount of fibre (fruit and vegetables) in your diet*.

More information and tips around healthy eating can be found online at Eating a balanced diet – NHS (www.nhs.uk).

*If you have special dietary needs or a medical condition you can ask your doctor or a registered dietitian for advice on achieving a healthy balanced diet that’s right for your needs.
